KSWB Represents State of Lousiana in Pilgrim's Pride Bankruptcy Proceedings
06.22.09 | David Rubin represented the State of Louisiana in the bankruptcy of Pilgrim's Pride Corporation in Ft. Worth, Texas, the largest chicken producer in the United States, in which the State of Louisiana, through a cooperative endeavor agreement, provided $50 million in economic assistance for the purchase by Foster Farms, Inc. of a chicken production plant in Farmerville, Louisiana from Pilgrim's Pride. The sale accomplished the goal of the State in preventing the closure of the Farmerville plant and saving more than 1,000 jobs in North Louisiana.
