General Information
RANDAL J. ROBERT is a member of our Litigation Section. He has a commercial litigation practice that includes commercial insurance coverage litigation, corporate contract litigation, will contests and succession litigation, and various other types of corporate and commercial litigation.
Randy has served as counsel in both Louisiana State and Federal courts for numerous corporate clients in insurance coverage disputes pertaining to losses incurred as a result of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, as well as various other coverage disputes involving commercial general liability, professional errors and omissions, and marine insurance policies. Randy has served as counsel in several will contests and succession disputes and was co-counsel in connection with the first reported case involving "undue influence" in the State of Louisiana. He has handled numerous other commercial matters involving such subjects as accountant malpractice, commercial paper and other bank related disputes, oil and gas and mineral lease litigation, and shareholder disputes. He has also served as appellate counsel in numerous matters and has argued cases before the various Louisiana Courts of Appeal and the Louisiana Supreme Court.
Randy has been a speaker at multiple continuing education seminars primarily on the subject of will contests and succession disputes.

Education & Honors
Randy received his B.S. degree in Finance from Louisiana State University in 1984. He graduated from the Bank Administration Institute School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin in 1988. He received his J.D. degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 1992. Randy was inducted into Order of the Coif, served as a member of the Louisiana Law Review and was inducted into the Paul M. Hebert Law Center Hall of Fame.

Randy is a member of the Baton Rouge, Louisiana State and American Bar Associations and has served on several Baton Rouge Bar Association committees, including Chairman of the High School Mock Trial Committee.
