George P. Holmes


George joined the firm as an associate in 2015, and is a member of our Commercial Transaction practice group. George advises a wide array of business entities on governance issues and best practices, as well as aiding clients in complex transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, formation of new business ventures, and contract negotiations. George also assists in various commercial litigation matters.

George received his undergraduate degree in History from Millsaps College in 2011. He received his J.D./D.C.L. from Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert School of Law in 2015, graduating magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. During law school, he served as a judicial extern for Judge Harlin D. Hale, Northern District of Texas Bankruptcy Court, and Judge James J. Brady, Middle District of Louisiana. He was also a member of the Louisiana Law Review and served on its board of editors as an Articles Editor.


George is admitted to practice in Louisiana and is a member of the Louisiana and Baton Rouge Bar Associations.
